Corporate Sponsors

The local business community has made substantial donations to CFS, and without them we could not be as successful as we are. They help us with financial contributions, in-kind donations of goods and services, sponsorships of major events and employee volunteer groups. Although they are too numerous to mention, we would like to take the opportunity to thank some of our generous benefactors for their contributions.

Access Award:

We are honored to acknowledge the winner of the first CFS Access Award, in recognition of an extraordinary gift by Boulder-based Carrier Access, a leading provider of broadband access equipment. The award, officially presented at the Donor Recognition Reception held June 8, 2000 at the CFS warehouse, recognized Carrier Access' gift of $134,000 to Community Food Share. Nancy Pierce, co-founder of Carrier Access, was present to accept the award. "A gift to Community Food Share touches the entire community" said Pierce. "We are pleased our donation will touch the lives of those in need by providing food to over 80 non-profit agencies here in Boulder County."

Carrier Access followed up in 2003 with another gift worth $84,000. We commend their community spirit and compassion for those in need!

The name of the award refers to food security, which is defined as access by all people at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life.

Video Bravo

We want to thank our friends Carol Christenson and Elise Berlin  for their creative genius in producing a first-class DVD video for us. Their art combines the compassion of committed individuals, the fun of oldies tunes and the insight of people in need who rely on our services. It's an experience you won't soon forget.

This video is used to introduce CFS to various groups of constituents, and is about 15 minutes in length. If you are a member of a group that may be interested in learning more about CFS and what we do, please do call us to arrange a showing. Thanks!

And a very special thanks to the folks at Reveal Sytems for hosting and providing technical support for this web site since it's inception!

WhiteWave Foods

Community Food Share wants to thanks WhiteWave Foods and their employees for their seemingly unending generosity.

In year 2007, WhiteWave, through Horizon Organic Dairy, donated 89,000 gallons of milk! This is a commodity that is rarely donated, and is very valuable to our clients.

When WhiteWave management heard that we had missed our goal for the 2007 Let's Bag Hunger food drive, they generously stepped in with a $10,000 donation!

WhiteWave Foods was also the title sponsor of the 2007, 2006 and 2005 Spring Fest events, our annual benefit gala. They will also be our title sponsor in 2008.

Mike Keown has been on the CFS board of directors for 3 years.

WhiteWave made a substantial contribution towards the purchase of a refrigerated truck in 2005.

In December 2006, WhiteWave Foods sponsored one month of "Spirit of Sharing" ads on Colorado Public Radio.

The four-day WhiteWave Foods "volunteer marathon" in late May and early June 2007 provided Community Food Share with over 300 hours of time! The volunteers were everywhere, doing every job imaginable, and just all-around adding to the very compassionate atmosphere that exists here.

In the 2006 & 2007 Corporate Challenge, WhiteWave Foods took 1st place in the total points category! This exemplifies the committment this company and its employees have to community involvement. We are proud to be their charity of choice.

While we have many donors, few donate food, money AND volunteers!  The impact WhiteWave has had on our ability to fulfill our mission is real and lasting.  White Wave Soy started as a local, home grown company, with close ties to local non-profits.  We have been impressed and pleased that as they grew into WhiteWave Foods, as a subsidiary of Dean Foods, the leaders and employees did not forget their roots, but have stayed supportive of the community in which they began. They have our heartfelt thanks!

Amgen

Amgen, in Longmont, is proud of their community spirit, and has supported CFS in many ways:
Amgen was a 2005, 2006 & 2007 Spring Fest sponsor.
They published an advertorial in the Boulder County Business Report newspaper, sponsoring CFS.
The Amgen Foundation donated $25,000 in Nov. 2007, and routinely matches their employees' donations.
Amgen also participates in the annual Corporate Challenge event.
We were featured as a charity of choice in the Amgen Foundation Charitable Contributions report.
Eric Bergeson served on the board of directors for 2 years.
Amgen employees volunteer at the warehouse.
Thank you, Amgen, for all you do!

Precision Plumbing and Heating has held a drive each winter, wherein they offer to match donations made to CFS.

The Daily Camera sponsors the "Lets Bag Hunger" food drive every Thanksgiving. This drive routinely brings in the equivalent of 100,000 meals.

The Daily Times-Call sponsors the Hunger Hurts food drive every spring. They also have been represented on our Board of Directors for many years.
