Food Drives

YOU CAN HELP; Please donate to the two major Food drives CFS conducts each year.

  • Hunger Hurts the Whole Community; food drive sponsored by the Times-Call - from April 8th to April 21, 2009; brought in over 66,000 pounds of food from the Longmont area.

  • Let's Bag Hunger, held from November 15-25, 2009; sponsored by the Daily Camera. This drive brought in 124,000 pounds of food in 2009 from the Boulder area.

You can also take the lead and organize a food drive of your own through your business, school, church group or organization. If you would like to organize a food drive of your own to benefit CFS, please follow the link below to access a complete set of instructions. Thanks!

Community Food Share has partnered with the Christian Science Reading Room to provide a year-round drop-off site for individuals who wish to donate non-perishable food items throughout the year.  The Christian Science Reading Room is located in downtown Boulder at 1434 Pearl Street on the Mall, and is open to the public Mondays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Non-perishable food donations may be left in the Community Food Share collection barrel inside. Food donations are welcome throughout the year, especially in the spring and summer months when donations are at a low.  Donors wishing to know what the most needed items are, please call Community Food Share at (303) 652-3663.
