Member Agency Food Distribution
On April 1, 2007 Community Food Share eliminated shared maintenance fees in order to increase distribution and to allow Member Agencies to re-direct the money they would otherwise have spent here to other expenses. We also offer free delivery for large orders. Because of this change, agencies took 500,000 more pounds of food in 2007.
The trend continues in 2008; in January and February 2007, agencies took 416,000 pounds of food. In January & February of 2008, agencies took 542,000 pounds of food. This is a 30% increase in distribution to agencies compared to last year-to-date.
Here is an email from a grateful agency rep.;
"I can't tell you how much I appreciate CFS. I could never keep within a $2,000/year budget"... "without your help. I hope you go home at the end of the day with the knowledge that all of us agencies thrive because of CFS. Thank you for everything."
